She was married to the late author/film director Simon Fitzmaurice, subject of the 2016 documentary ‘It’s Not Yet Dark’. A bestseller in Ireland and the UK, ‘I Found My Tribe’ has been published in America, Korea, Germany, Italy, France and Poland. Ruth has also been commissioned to write the screenplay for the film adaptation, optioned by Element Pictures. She is currently working on her first novel and lives in Greystones, Co. Wicklow, with her five children.
