Claire Keegan was raised on a farm on the Wicklow/ Wexford border.
Her stories are translated into more than thirty languages and have been published in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, Granta, and Best American Stories. Her novel, Small Things Like These, has won the Prix Littéraire des Ambassadeurs en Irlande and is shortlisted for the Rathbones Folio Prize, awarded to the best new work of literature published in the English language, regardless of form. The book is also shortlisted for the Kerry Group Irish Novel of the Year, The Dalkey Prize and the Orwell Prize.
