Garrett Keogh trained at the Abbey Theatre, and the Ladislav Fialka Mime Theatre, Prague. He was a member of the Abbey Company, playing many roles in O'Casey, Hugh Leonard, Tom Murphy, Brian Friel, and David Mamet. He has worked in the Gate, the Project, and performed in theatres and halls all over Ireland.

He has worked in the Gate, the Project, and performed in theatres and halls all over Ireland. He has played on Broadway, the West End, the Hellfire Club (up a chimney), on Dollymount Strand (in a barrel), and in Seán McDermott Street (in a coffin).
His writing has been recognised by various awards. Stewart Parker/BBC Radio Drama Award for Shep; P. J. O’Connor Radio Drama Award for Nancy; Oireachtas Award Script Teilifíse for An Píobaire Rua. He performed his one-man play Head Case in Bewley’s Café Theatre in September this year.
He is director of the Gap Arts Festival, an annual multi-discipline festival in the hills of north Wexford where he lives.
