This workshop will be an introduction to writing for radio.  Participants will be given an opportunity to develop their own memoir/life-writing skills with a series of short exercises, followed by group discussion.

About A.M.

A.M. Cousins regularly reads memoir and local history essays on the radio programme “Sunday Miscellany” (RTE Radio 1). Since graduating  with an MA in Creative Writing (UCD, 2013),  she has had poems published in The Stinging Fly, The Shop, The Honest Ulsterman and The Irish Literary Review.  She featured in Poetry Ireland’sIntroductions Series 2016 and read a selection of poems in The Irish Writers’ Centre, Dublin, in May 2016. Her first poetry collection, REDRESS, on which she is working at the moment, was short-listed in the Patrick Kavanagh Poetry Competition, 2015.
